Catering for you

At Love to Eat we offer a wide range of homemade meals, snacks, salads, sandwiches, desserts and cakes to take away to save you having to cook at home! Or you can enjoy a sandwich or a slice of homemade cake with a delicious illy coffee in the cosy deli. Alternatively you can also pre-order your food for larger groups of people. Our menu changes on a daily basis, so why not pop in to see what we have to offer, or click on the daily specials blackboard. Whilst all food may not be in the shop everyday, orders are available on request.

In 2010 Love to Eat was founded by Lucy Cutler & Frankie Edwards, two old Tendring High School friends incredibly passionate about food and desperately in need of a willing public to cook for!

Having worked in the food industry for years, Lucy in the form or running a deli in Marbella, Spain and Frankie making bespoke wedding cakes and hosting private dinner parties for clients, they joined forces to create a new concept. And where better than Thorpe-le-Soken, Essex a lovely, friendly and warm village by the coast and surrounded by countryside.

With the firm belief that homemade is best, yet with an understanding that time doesn't always allow for such luxuries, they set out to provide this at a fair cost. Feeling fed up with chain restaurants, mass produced food and lousy supermarket ready meals they saw a gap in the market for a fresher approach to take away food. While Frankie went on to pursue exciting catering opportunities in London, Lucy carried on building the deli and 15 years later customers are still enjoying replacing take out night with Love to Eat treats for a more varied and healthier option.
